How do you create a safe and easy to use bagel slicer?
For my Masters Thesis Project, I researched, designed, and built a high-end bagel slicer to address safety and quality concerns of bagel slicers on the market.
The design went through 4 major revisions, eventually using only one motor to spin and lower a bagel onto a stationary knife. The form and touch points resemble those of a toaster for intuitive use, easy cleaning, and a small footprint.
Both a works-like and looks-like model were created and presented for a final presentation.
